Asda may be one of the biggest supermarket names in the UK, but when it comes to mobile networks, they’re probably not your first choice.

However, you shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss Asda Mobile, as their competitively priced deals and reliable network coverage has won them a loyal following of fans. The brand has even been named a Which? recommended provider!

One area in which Asda Mobile truly excels is with their amazing value 30-day bundles. They include a set amount of texts, minutes and mobile data allowance at a great price, plus the added benefit of greater flexibility.

As customers are not tied into a lengthy 24 months contract, they are free to shop around for better deals whenever they want. Asda Mobile also allows new customers to put them to the test before they buy, with all SIMs coming with 10 minutes, 10 texts and 10MB of data.

However, if you’re looking for a great SIM only deal, you’ll need to make sure you have the right mobile device first, as these types of deals are not inclusive of a handset. Thankfully, when it comes to SIM free phones Asda have that base covered too.

The Asda mobile free SIM deals

Asda offers a range of different SIM free mobile handsets. These range from just £7 for a back-to-basics Alcatel 10:16 on the EE network to an affordable £160 for an EE Hawk, with a range of different Vodafone and unlocked options in between.

Do bear in mind that sometimes, SIM free phones can be limited in their options. Some networks will have exclusives on specific types of models, so if you want that phone in particular, you will have to sign up to a contract. The best thing you can do is shop around to discover all your options, and that’s where Hoppy comes in.

As well as Asda, there are also a selection of other well-established brands offering great sim free deals including Nokia and Samsung. Handsets such as Samsung's J5 are all available on these competitively-priced sim free deals.

What are SIM free phones?

As its name suggests, a SIM free phone is when a customer buys a mobile handset outright without committing to any type of contract. This offers some serious advantages over a monthly contract, as customers can enjoy greater flexibility. You aren’t tied into a specific network provider, so you are free to change or upgrade your mobile deal or device whenever you desire.

A SIM free mobile phone usually works out much cheaper overall, although you will have to pay for the device in one lump sum rather than spread the cost over monthly instalments. However, with the option to choose SIM only or pay as you go deals, customers with SIM free mobiles can enjoy lower monthly payments and a higher resale value of their unlocked device.

How Hoppy can help?

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer SIM free deals but why not compare other available deals to see if one of them might be right for you.
