The iPhone 8 is one of the latest in the line of Apple’s super popular, technologically advanced smartphones. There is no one in the industry with the brand power of Apple and that’s no coincidence.

Ever since the release of the iPod, they have been quite a few steps ahead of the competition. And while the jury is still out when it comes to who has the best product and service, there can be little doubt that Apple’s popularity or their impact on the world at large. Few companies and few ideas have ever become household names quite like the iPhone has.

They first brought us music in a portable and affordable way, with a style that everybody could get behind, and today, they’ve brought us a mobile platform that can surf the internet with ease, double as a high-quality camera, manage our day-to-day needs through inventive apps, and function as a phone should.

Apple stands at the top tier amongst the companies that can honestly say they have changed millions of lives with their products. As a result, Apple has garnered an enthusiastic fan club made up of millions of people all around the world who chomp at the bit every time a new product is released.  And there was no exception with the iPhone 8.

Top features of the iPhone 8

If you compare iPhone 8 details to those of its direct descendants, it’s fair to say that the iPhone 8 is not reinventing the wheel. Even a creative juggernaut like Apple can’t come up with something mind-bendingly new every time they let a new product out of the gate. If they did, they wouldn’t be the success they are today and would be a wacky yet useful example of a company that had more brains than sense.

Plus, there’s nothing wrong with making sure your products are to a certain standard before moving on to your next product. A lot of the time, the reality of business is that the next iPhone in the range is often a case of refinement rather than innovation, and this is true of the iPhone 8. Harnessing the power of its predecessor, the iPhone 7, the key features here remain largely intact. An example is the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, which makes getting into your phone safer and easier. It still has an excellent point and click camera, which takes high-quality photos an absolute breeze. The iPhone 8 come with Apple’s augmented reality app Push and, in perhaps its most science fiction of upgrades, also boasts wireless charging.

Does all of this add up to an absolute must have if you own the previous model? Well, that’s a matter of opinion. It is more powerful, has extra features and is an improvement on its predecessor, the iPhone 7, in almost every way. In truth though, it is more of a step, rather than a great leap forward. Those with older models will probably find the robust and innovative iPhone 8 more exciting, whereas those going from model to model will appreciate the nuances of the smaller changes.

These changes include a larger screen than its predecessor, clocking in at 5.45 x 029 inches. As a result, it is slightly heavier, weighing in at 148g. Its screen is a 4.7 retina HD IPS LCD, with resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. It runs on iOS 11, which was available previously but did not come as standard. Alongside this, it includes 4G connectivity, video at 4K up to 60fps and 1080p up to 240dps, version 5 Bluetooth, a fingerprint sensor, among other sensors, and is water resistant, stands up well to those everyday bumps and bashes.

What’s most important is that the iPhone 8 is a truly fantastic phone that few, if anyone, could ever find themselves disappointed with.
