Yes, unfortunately they are, if you read the pages and pages of complex T’s and C’s when you sign up there will be information about allowing price rises for thing like APR increases or any other reason they can think of.

Its always worth giving Sky a call to see if they have special offers they can give you. Or call up the customer retention line and say you are going to leave, this is time when the big discounts come out.

Of course, the other thing you can do is switch using the Hoppy. Move to a different provider for your TV/broadband and benefit from a new customer offer.
